Occupation tailor.4 A Samuel Kerry from Old Radford near Nottingham came over to Smalley Wakes every year, to see my Grandmother Hannah Kerry. He always called the above Joel Kerry his cousin but John Brown thought they were second cousins. It seems he distributed his visits among his friends as well as his kinsfolk for his rule was to breakfast at Browns on the Thursday morning. It seems he was more nearly connected with the Dog & Duck family than ours. He had a retentive memory and was a pleasant companion. One of his descendants named Spencer lives near Chapel Bar, Nottingham. His brother had a dau. Susan Kerry born 1804. |
