Notes:
- Built the Rose & Crown at Smalley in 1768. From a pencil note discovered in 1905, I find that my father told me his grandfather Samuel K was married twice, and that by his first wife he had twelve children.. Her name is not known. His second wifes name was Elizabeth but her surname is doubtful. It appears that the boys of the first marriage did not live about Smalley.
