Although many of these entries have very basic information,
others have more detail including census records and notes. The reason I have included so many
'married in' people is that I wished to show the links between families, particularly in small
villages such as Smalley.
The latest research has established the Carrington link to
Horsley, with the birth and/or baptisms of some of the children of William Carrington and
Margaret Wright, in the mid 1700s; the trail now goes to Heanor.
